If you type<\/span> the word “D<\/span>esign<\/span>” into the dictionary<\/span>, <\/span>you will notice that this word refers to the <\/span>“<\/span>draft<\/span>“. <\/span>The fact that the result of a designer’s work includes ideas and solutions is, in my opinion, the most important aspect of his work<\/span><\/span><\/strong>.<\/strong>
\n
\nYou know, what do the people who project a piece of equipment say about what they’ve created<\/span>? <\/span>They say: I<\/span> <\/span>have <\/span> formed<\/span> <\/span>“<\/span>D<\/span>esign”.<\/span>Yes<\/span>,<\/span> they have a functional <\/span>design<\/span> <\/span>created<\/span>. <\/span>The designer creates <\/span>something that, in addition to the visual side, also has a functional side \u2013 functional in the mechanical sense or, for example, for the communication of a<\/span> <\/span>M<\/span>essage \u2013 <\/span>that is its function<\/span>. <\/span>This is the difference between design and graphics (that’s why graphic design came about<\/span>).<\/span>
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

I see a great parallel between the design of a product and the design of a user interface<\/span>. <\/span>Design must be <\/span>to be timeless<\/span>, <\/span>so that the whole work does not become morally (formally) old<\/span>, <\/span>because the functional side works until the end of the work<\/span> (<\/span>Shaver<\/span>, <\/span>Car<\/span>, <\/span>Website<\/span>, <\/span>Application and more<\/span>).<\/span><\/p>\n

A synonym of this attitude is the person of<\/span> <\/span>
\n Dieter <\/span>
\n Rams<\/span>
\n<\/a>, <\/span>a German designer who became famous with products for the BRAUN brand<\/span>. <\/span>It also meant inspiration for <\/span>Stev<\/span>e<\/span> Jobs<\/span> and the essentials <\/span>in <\/span>the design of Apple products<\/span>. <\/span>A demonstration of the work from his workshop<\/span> <\/span>can be found at<\/span> <\/span>

I don’t like <\/span> the attitude of<\/span> <\/span> “the K<\/span>lient <\/span>didn’t provide any documentation<\/span>“<\/span> because it’s not particularly necessary<\/span>. <\/span>Sometimes I like it better when I have my creative freedom, better than <\/span> being tied up by a cruel design<\/span> manual or untapped potential of the brand.<\/span> <\/span>In<\/span> SCR<\/span>, we feel more like <\/span>designers, architects of solutions, not draughtsmen of images from supplied documents<\/span>. <\/span>We simply create ideas that we melt into something visual<\/span>.
\n<\/span><\/p>\n

How<\/span> did Dieter Rams<\/span> define good design<\/span>:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

1. <\/span>Good design is innovative<\/span><\/strong> <\/span><\/p>\n

The opportunities for innovation are by no means exhaustive<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span>Technological developments are constantly offering new opportunities for innovative design<\/span>.<\/span> <\/span>Innovative<\/span>design always evolves at the same time as innovative technologies and never by itself<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

2. <\/span>Good design makes the product useful<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

A <\/span>product<\/span> is there to be used<\/span>. <\/span>It must meet certain criteria<\/span>, not only functionality<\/span>, <\/span>but also its psychological as well as aesthetic aspects<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

<\/span>Good design emphasizes the usefulness of a product<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

3. <\/span>Good design is aesthetic<\/span><\/strong> <\/span><\/p>\n

Aesthetics<\/span>as a property of the product is an inseparable part because a product that we use every day influences our nature and our mental well-being<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

4. <\/span>Good design makes the product understandable, accessible, and traceable<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

It explains <\/span>the<\/span> Character of the product. Or rather, the product talks about good design<\/span>.<\/span> It’s best when the product\/design doesn’t need any more explanation<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

5. <\/span>Good design is <\/span>honest<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Design doesn’t make the product more innovative, influential, or more value than it <\/span>actually is<\/span>. <\/span>Good design doesn’t try to <\/span> manipulate the customer, <\/span> <\/span>no<\/span> promises<\/span> that the product has features that the product can’t have<\/span>.<\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

6. <\/span>Good design is <\/span>subtle<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

The products serve their purpose<\/span>. <\/span>They are <\/span>not decorative objects or works of art<\/span>. I<\/span>The design should therefore be neutral and discreet, it should create space for self-expression on the part of the user<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

7. <\/span>Good design is timeless<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

It dodges current trends, that’s why it never seems outdated<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

8. <\/span><\/strong>Good design is thought through down to the smallest detail<\/strong> <\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

Nothing can be unplanned or left to chance<\/span>. <\/span>Care and accuracy in the design and education process shows respect to the customer<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

9. <\/span>Good design is eco-friendly<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

Design is an important part of life and <\/span>contributes<\/span> to the preservation of the environment<\/span>. <\/span>It saves sources throughout the product cycle<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n

10. <\/span>Good design is minimalist<\/span><\/strong> <\/span><\/p>\n

Less<\/span>, <\/span>but better<\/span>. <\/span>To focus on important aspects and not burden the design with trivial aspects<\/span>.<\/span><\/p>\n
